FERTILITY ISSUES & PREGNANCY CARE - REFLEXOLOGY & HYPNOTHERAPY
It is estimated that 1 in 6 couples will experience fertility issues. Health and lifestyle factors, for both the male and female, can play a big part in this.
This is an extremely emotional time for couples which can lead to stress and anxiety.
Reflexology is a very calming and relaxing therapy and, over a period of time, may help in a number of ways as it could:
I have been trained in specific reflexology techniques for fertility and maternity care through Jubilee College as part of my ongoing commitment to continually improve and update my skills.
Hypnotherapy techniques can be helpful in assisting and comforting in the time before conception. Unexplained infertility and assisted conception can be an emotional and sometimes stressful and confusing time. Relaxation techniques and positive affirmations are used to help calm and reassure.
Pregnancy and Childbirth Hypnotherapy
We can work from the early stages of pregnancy to address problems with morning sickness right through to techniques to help you during the birthing process. It is entirely your choice how many sessions you have and I would be happy to have a confidential chat with you regarding this with you prior to your booking.
TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF DURING PREGNANCY
Having regular reflexology treatments during the course of your pregnancy is a great way to help your body to relax and to prepare yourself for the arrival of your baby.
I have been trained in reflexology maternity care which enables me to treat clients all through their pregnancy. It is often thought that treatment is not possible during the first 12 weeks, but unless you have an history of miscarriage or unstable pregnancy, this is not always the case. I would always discuss this with you prior to commencement of any treatment.
During the course of your pregnancy you may find that you experience a variety of common complaints and reflexology may help you to manage these more effectively, such as:
GOING PAST YOUR DUE DATE
If you have passed your due date, and you have had a healthy pregnancy, it is possible to have a treatment which may encourage the onset of labour.
This treatment is carried out with a much firmer pressure than during a normal reflexology session and can be quite uncomfortable some of the time.
If your baby is overdue and you decide you would like to have such a treatment I would always advise you to talk to your midwife first so she is fully aware of this.
